Fulton, Ky, May 19. - Lieutenant Joseph Dawson, of Park field, near Memphis, Tennessee, was severely injured late today when he fell 1,500 feet in an army biplane, landing on
two automobiles and a wagon in the streets of this city. The fall came after Lieutenant Dawson, who was here in the interests of the Red Cross campaign, had executed two
loops and was coming out of the second, his machine going into a tail-spin.
The aviator's life was saved by the wings of the machine striking two buildings and thereby breaking his fall.
